Main Duties & Scope of the role
The Marketing Manager will be responsible for overseeing marketing strategy, campaign delivery, lead generation activity, events promotion and brand development across the Canadian business. This role will work closely with counsellors, institutional partners and senior leadership to drive lead generation, improve conversion performance and strengthen market presence across Canada. The successful candidate will combine strategic thinking with strong operational execution and team management capability.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy & Campaigns
- Develop and implement annual marketing plans aligned with recruitment targets
- Manage multi-channel lead generation campaigns across digital, events and partnerships
- Oversee campaign performance and optimise marketing ROI
- Support destination diversification campaigns where required
- Work closely with senior leadership on market positioning and growth opportunities
Digital Marketing & Lead Generation
- Oversee paid and organic digital marketing activity
- Manage website performance, landing pages and CRM lead flows
- Improve enquiry-to-application conversion performance
- Monitor lead quality and reporting metrics
- Work alongside external agencies and internal marketing support where applicable
Events & Brand Promotion
- Lead promotion and marketing strategy
- Coordinate marketing support for institutional visits, webinars and events
- Strengthen the brand awareness across Canada
- Support school engagement and outreach initiatives
Team Management
- Manage and support marketing team members
- Allocate responsibilities and oversee project delivery
- Support training, development and performance management
- Maintain strong communication between marketing and counselling teams
Content & Communications
- Oversee creation of marketing materials, email campaigns and social media content
- Ensure brand consistency across all channels
- Support institution-specific campaigns and promotional initiatives
- Coordinate video, testimonial and employability-focused content
About the Candidate (including required competencies)
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Previous experience in marketing management, preferably within education or international recruitment
- Strong understanding of digital marketing and lead generation
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Experience managing campaigns, budgets and reporting
- Strong organisational and leadership capability
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams
- Commercially minded with a strong focus on performance and ROI
Desirable
- Experience within international education or higher education recruitment
- Experience with CRM systems and marketing automation
- Event marketing and partnership management experience
- Knowledge of UK and/or Canadian higher education sectors
Pay: $60,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
