Rangeland Truck and Crane is a leader in specialized transportation services, known for safely and efficiently moving oversized and overweight loads across Canada and USA. We are currently seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Heavy Haul Truck Driver to join our growing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy haul trucks to transport oversized and overweight loads.
- Plan and execute safe and efficient routes.
- Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections.
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as necessary.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while on the road and at loading/unloading sites.
- Secure loads using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with operations, dispatch, clients, and escort vehicles.
- Comply with all transportation laws and safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Valid Class 1 driver’s license.
- Minimum 3 years of heavy haul or long-haul experience.
- Clean driver’s abstract.
- Experience with oversized/overweight loads and permits.
- Strong knowledge of load securement and safety practices.
- Ability to travel long distances and work flexible hours.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members are essential for success in this role.
- Must pass pre-employment, post incident drug and alcohol testing
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with pilot/escort coordination.
- Knowledge of Western Canada and U.S. routes.
- Mechanical aptitude for minor truck maintenance.
