Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Shop Assistant to join our team. Duties
- Assist with the organization and maintenance of tools, equipment, and supplies in the workshop
- Support technicians and skilled workers with basic tasks and preparations for projects
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely under supervision
- Help with inventory management by stocking materials and recording supplies used
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards within the work area
- Perform routine inspections of tools and equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries
Skills
- Basic mechanical knowledge is preferred to understand equipment and tools
- Experience with hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, and pliers is advantageous
- Familiarity with power tools like drills, saws, or grinders is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to follow instructions carefully and work effectively as part of a team
- Good communication skills to coordinate tasks with team members
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to various tasks in a fast-paced environment
