About the Role
Serve food and beverages to all guests of the Copper Room in a professional, polite and timely
manner. Provide exceptional service creating fond memories for all guests.
What You’ll Do
- Ensure all aspect of the dining room are acceptable e.g. chairs, tables, tablecloths, cutlery,
glassware, dinnerware, etc.
- Serve all ordered items to guests in a friendly, professional and timely manner.
- Familiarize self with the menu, ingredients, and preparation methods for the menu items.
- Strong knowledge of wines and other specialty beverages.
- Willing and able to suggest beverage item pairings with meals.
- Complete additional job-related duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
- Current Food Safe certification (required).
- Current Serving it Right certification (required).
- 1-year previous experience as a server in a fine dining establishment.
- Strong customer service or public contact experience.
- Touch screen POS experience would be an asset.
- Strong cash handling skills.
- Successful up selling skills.
- Bartending experience is an asset.
- Capacity to safely lift/move up to 30 lbs. and stand/walk for long periods per shift.
- Previous experience using a large oval tray to transport meals and dishes.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work a changing schedule (evenings, weekends, holidays, etc.).
- Fluent English communication skills (required); multi-lingual ability is a strong asset.
