We don’t just manage waste; we rethink how industry handles it.
At Pure Environmental we’re building world-class facilities, meeting the highest of industry standards, for the energy and industrial sectors. From geothermal waste cavern facilities to engineered landfills, our work supports operations across the full lifecycle—from exploration to end of life.
Who We Are
We’re a team built on experience, but we don’t just operate on the status-quo.
We’ve spent decades in environmental and energy services, and we’ve seen what works (and what doesn’t). That’s why we do things simply, safely, and properly, with a strong focus on innovation and critical thinking.
We operate in markets that are often underserved, where dependable infrastructure is critical. Our facilities are designed to provide the systems and support these markets actually need, not just check boxes.
At Pure, our employees take ownership. We look out for each other, and we take pride in running clean, compliant, and well-managed operations.
If you like straightforward work, a strong team, and a place where your judgment is trusted, you’ll fit in well.

Our Values
How we work matters as much as what we achieve. Our values shape our culture and guide our decisions:
Building Empowered Leaders. We encourage ownership, initiative, and leadership at every level.
Integrity. We act with honesty, accountability, and do what’s right.
Growth & Innovation. We stay curious, continuously improve, and embrace new ideas.
Open & Honest Communication. We value transparency, direct feedback, and respectful dialogue.
This role isn’t about “just running a facility.”
It’s about owning the facility operation from the ground up.
As a Facility Operator, you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day operation of our facility, ensuring waste is received, processed, tracked, and managed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with facility approvals and operating procedures. You'll be responsible for ensuring all incoming and outgoing waste streams are managed, documented, and handled in accordance with regulatory requirements and facility approvals.
You’ll work closely with customers, contractors, sales teams, and fellow operators while helping maintain a safe, organized, and high-performing operation.
If you’re someone who likes hands-on work, solving problems in real time, working independently, and being trusted to take ownership this is your kind of role.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Operate and maintain the facility safely and efficiently in accordance with facility SOPs, regulatory approvals, and maintenance requirements
- Understand the Regulatory and Operating Approvals as they pertain to our facility, including well classifications and materials that can and cannot be accepted
- Track and accurately log all incoming and outgoing waste streams in accordance with facility licenses, approvals, and operating procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional facility environment for customers, contractors, and team members
- Assist customers with site logistics while helping develop practical, customer-focused solutions when unique situations arise
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers and support field sales activities at the facility level
- Perform routine facility inspections, preventative maintenance activities, and coordinate third-party contractors as required
- Issue Safe Work Permits and ensure work is completed safely and in accordance with company standards
- Identify hazards, report incidents, and take action when something isn’t right
- Know, understand, and follow the ERP, operate safely as per the Health and Safety Manual, and ensure the facility remains compliant with all environmental and regulatory requirements
- Maintain current knowledge of facility approvals, licenses, safety procedures, training requirements, and regulatory documentation
- Keep SOPs up to date — and improve them when you see a better way
- Handle day-to-day administrative duties including ticket filing, data entry, reporting, and operational documentation
- Support safety meetings, inspections, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Uphold Pure Environmental’s values through your actions and interactions every day
- Other duties as assigned
What Makes You a Great Fit
You’re someone who takes ownership, not someone who waits to be told what to do. You also:
- Have experience operating in industrial, waste management, oilfield, construction, or similar environments
- Possess a strong mechanical aptitude and enjoy troubleshooting equipment and facility issues
- Have experience operating heavy equipment, particularly loaders and dozers
- Understand that safety and compliance aren’t optional — they’re the job
- Can balance hands-on operational work with administrative tasks and documentation
- Communicate clearly and work well with customers, contractors, and teammates
- Are self-motivated and capable of working effectively with limited supervision
- Exercise sound judgment and make thoughtful decisions in changing environments
- Bring a positive, solutions-focused attitude to challenges and opportunities
- Take pride in doing things properly, not just quickly
- Have basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
- Have a Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
