We are looking for a Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. Your role will be crucial in providing excellent patient experiences and ensuring smooth clinic operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating patient care, managing patient records, scheduling appointments, supporting treatment planning, liaising with third party providers and providing support to our interdisciplinary team of physiotherapists and massage therapists. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as a strong commitment to providing quality patient care and exceptional customer service.
Reception & Patient Experience
- Greet and acknowledge all individuals entering the facility with professionalism and a friendly demeanor.
- Assist patients with check-in procedures, including admission forms and explaining clinic policies and payment methods.
- Manage insurance policies and funding streams for patient visits, recording payments accurately.
- Address patient inquiries and concerns, escalating issues to the Clinic Manager when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and tidy reception area and waiting room.
- Collaborate with the treating clinician to ensure the smooth flow of patients in and out of the clinic.
General Administration
- Adhere to clinic policies and procedures.
- Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, maintaining electronic records, and communicating via email and fax.
- Coordinate clinician schedules and complete opening and closing duties.
- Monitor incoming correspondence, relay relevant information to external parties and clinicians, and update patient files accordingly.
- Manage appointment cancellations and follow-up tasks.
- Comply with health and safety guidelines.
Administration of Third-Party Payors
- Facilitate communication between patients, clinicians, and third-party payors.
- Demonstrate understanding of various funding streams and services offered, ensuring accurate billing and adherence to procedural guidelines.
- Maintain up-to-date records of attendance, funding limits, and insurance approvals.
- Communicate with adjusters, case managers, and third-party vendors to ensure continuity of care and patient compliance.
- Process payments through third-party benefit providers and maintain billing records.
Education & Experience
- Minimum high school education or equivalent
- Medical office receptionist experience and/or education is considered an asset
- Administrative and/or customer service experience is considered an asset
- Jane App experience is considered an asset
Pay: $17.00-$18.00 per hour
