Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional patient care and ensuring smooth daily operations. Duties
- Assist dentists during various procedures, including orthodontic treatments and pediatric dentistry
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments using CAD technology
- Take and develop dental radiographs, ensuring patient safety and comfort
- Manage patient records using dental software such as ABELDent
- Provide pre- and post-operative instructions to patients
- Support front desk operations by performing dental receptionist duties when needed
- Educate patients on oral health care and treatment plans
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile clinical environment in compliance with health regulations
Requirements
- Proven experience in dental assisting, with knowledge of medical terminology and dental procedures
- Familiarity with dental software including ABELDent, Dentrix, and CAD systems
- Experience with orthodontics, pediatrics, or general dentistry preferred
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Certification or training in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory; on-the-job training provided for qualified candidates
- Knowledge of dental assisting best practices to ensure patient safety and comfort
