THE HOTEL:
Dual branded in the East Village of Calgary’s Downtown, our 198 room Hilton Garden Inn and 122 suite Homewood Suites, with 4,000 sq. ft. of naturally lit meeting space, restaurant, lounge, and indoor pool are adjacent to Calgary’s award winning Central Public Library, and one block Studio Bell. Conveniently located just one block from City Hall train station.
THE ROLE:
Breakfast Servers contribute to the overall success of the hotel by providing prompt and courteous food and beverage service to guests in our food & beverage outlets, meeting rooms, and in-room dining, while maximising sales and guest satisfaction. Currently looking for servers with strong bartending experience and an interest in both restaurant and banquets service to join our team. Specifically looking for morning availability at this time.

KEY ACTIVITIES:
The duties and responsibilities for Servers include, but are not limited to the following:
- Greet and seat outlets guests as required.
- Describe all menu items, methods or preparation, and prices as needed. Upsell established menu items or features to maximize food & beverage revenues.
- Prepare and serve beverages from the bar.
- Serve menu items to guests and clear and maintain tables in a prompt and courteous manner and according to established service standards.
- Set up, maintain, and clear meeting rooms to the specifications described on the Banquet Event Order.
- Serve banquet food and beverages in accordance with Banquet Event Order and established service standards.
- Perform pre- and post-shift side work including stocking service stations, making coffee, etc.
- Answer phone in professional manner and take in-room dining orders
COMPETENCIES WE ARE SEEKING:
- Flexibility to keep a work schedule that meets the fluctuating business levels of a hotel (including weekends and holidays).
- 2+ years of serving experience required. Strong bartending skills required. Previous banquet experience preferred.
- ProServe provincial liquor certification required to be current.
- A natural tendency towards guest service and attention to detail
