Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated weekday Line Cook to join our culinary team, shift is Monday to Friday from 12pm till 9pm. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. This role is crucial in ensuring that our meals are prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety. The Line Cook will ideally have experience working in a smashburger restaurant.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure food safety and sanitation practices are followed at all times.
- Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
- Help with inventory management by tracking food supplies and notifying management of shortages.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling and preparation.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is required, ideally in a burger restaurant
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools used in meal preparation.
- Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow directions from management.
