Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain aerial strand, pole line hardware, underground conduit systems, vaults, handholes, pedestals, and cabinets supporting telecommunications OSP (Outside Plant) infrastructure.
- Installation of fiber optic and copper cable in aerial and underground applications.
- Pole transfers and emergency restoration work.
- Read and interpret IFC telecom design drawings and build network components to specification; assist in producing accurate as built documentation for fiber and copper networks.
- Support the deployment of telecom network elements, including fiber optic cables, and related equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and Company specifications.
- Monitor and report daily project progress to the Project Manager, clearly communicating construction issues, field conditions, and expected delays.
- Safely climb poles and work at heights exceeding 30 feet using approved fall arrest systems, industry and Company climbing practices.
Qualifications
- Ability to interpret placing and splicing plans
- Holds a valid G license
- Able to complete the necessary training for working at heights and confined space, pass the corresponding examinations and receive a client authorization number as required
- Able to lift up to 80 lbs
- Able to operate bucket truck, lasher and associated OSP installation equipment.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Good communication skills with the ability to work independently or in a team
- Demonstrated commitment to health and safety and willing to receive applicable Health and Safety training as per legislative and job requirements
- Must be able to provide a clear criminal record check and a clean driver’s abstract

Pay: $22.00-$36.00 per hour
