Job Summary
Our client is a well-established and growing organization within the print and packaging
industry, serving customers across North America. They are seeking an experienced Senior
Accountant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting
professional who thrives in a manufacturing environment and has strong experience using
Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains).
The successful candidate will play a key role in financial reporting, month-end close, budgeting, account reconciliations, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. This ndividual should be analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working cross-functionally with operations and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Lead the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
- Perform general ledger reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Analyze financial results and provide recommendations to improve business
- performance.
- Support cash flow management and reporting.
- Reconcile bank accounts and other balance sheet accounts.
- Prepare HST and other regulatory filings.
- Assist with external audits and coordinate with auditors.
- Maintain accurate fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Support continuous process improvements within the finance department.
- Work closely with operations, purchasing, and production teams to improve financial
- reporting and inventory accuracy.
- Utilize Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) to maintain financial records, reporting, and system integrity.
- Assist with special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as required.
Qualifications
- Finance, or a related discipline.
- CPA designation (completed or in progress) is considered a strong asset.
- 6+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Previous experience within a manufacturing industrial environment is highly preferred.
- Hands-on experience using Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) is required.
- Strong knowledge of full-cycle accounting and financial reporting.
- Experience with month-end and year-end close.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and financial reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.

Pay: $85,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
