Job Title: Childcare Provider / Nanny
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced, compassionate, and dependable Childcare Provider / Nanny to provide high-quality care and supervision for our child. The successful candidate will create a safe, nurturing, and structured environment that supports the child’s physical, emotional, social, and developmental needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, safe, and age-appropriate childcare at all times.
- Supervise, engage, and interact with the child through educational, recreational, and developmental activities.
- Support the child’s daily routine, including meals, personal hygiene, and rest periods as appropriate.
- Provide specialized care and behavioural support for a child with autism spectrum disorder, using appropriate techniques and strategies to encourage communication, learning, independence, and positive behaviour.
- Prepare healthy, light meals and snacks for the child and assist with feeding as required.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment in the areas used by the child, including tidying toys, play areas, and children’s dishes after use.
- Perform light housekeeping duties directly related to the child’s care.
- Observe the child’s development and communicate any concerns or significant observations to the parents.
- Accompany the child to appointments, therapy sessions, educational activities, or community outings when required.
- Administer medication or follow medical or therapeutic instructions only as directed by the parents or healthcare professionals.
- Ensure the child’s safety and well-being at all times.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 8 years of professional experience as a Childcare Provider or Nanny.
- At least 5 years of experience caring for children with autism spectrum disorder or other developmental needs.
- Demonstrated knowledge of child development and childcare best practices.
- Experience preparing healthy, nutritious meals for children.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification is considered an asset.
- A valid driver’s licence is considered an asset.

Working Conditions
This position involves providing childcare within a private household. The successful candidate will work closely with the family to ensure the child’s safety, well-being, and developmental progress while maintaining a professional standard of care at all times.
Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
