Job Overview
A Senior Staff Accountant plays a vital role in a public accounting firm, overseeing and managing the engagement process for clients' financial records and statements. Our client is seeking an experienced accountant who can assist and lead audit and review engagements who also has experience with compilations and taxation.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead and perform audits of clients' financial statements, ensuring adherence to accounting standards and regulations.
· Lead and perform review engagements
· Complete and review compilation (NTR) engagements
· Prepare and complete personal (T1) and corporate (T2) tax returns
· Collaborate with the audit team to plan engagements, set objectives, and establish timelines.
· Analyze financial statements and supporting documents to assess accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
· Mentor junior team members and provide constructive feedback.
· Cultivate strong client relationships and identify opportunities for value-added services.
· Identify process improvements and incorporate new auditing tools and technologies.
· Strong experience and knowledge of ASPE accounting standards and regulations is required.
Qualifications and Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
· CPA or working towards CPA designation is preferred
· Extensive experience (typically 3+) within public accounting.
· Strong knowledge of accounting standards and regulations.
· Proficiency in using audit software and tools.
· Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
· Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Pay: $85,000.00-$100,000.00 per year

Experience:
