Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder/Fitter/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components in accordance with blueprints and schematics. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, welding techniques, and fabrication processes to ensure high-quality production standards. The position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects within a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine fabrication requirements.
- Perform MIG and TIG welding to join metal parts with precision and adherence to safety standards.
- Operate equipment, press brake machines, welding robots and hand tools for shaping and forming metal components.
- Use calipers, measuring tapes, and other precision tools to ensure accurate dimensions.
- Rig and secure materials using cranes or forklifts for safe handling during fabrication processes.
- Fabricate ductwork, structural components, or custom assemblies as specified in project plans.
- Conduct machining operations on parts using power tools or machining centers when necessary.
- Assist in assembly of fabricated components, ensuring proper fit and finish.
- Follow safety protocols related to welding, rigging, machining, and material handling.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
Skills
- Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding techniques with certification preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge related to fabrication, assembly, and maintenance of equipment.
- Experience with rigging, crane operation, and forklift handling for material movement.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Skilled in plasma cutting, press brake operation, and use of hand tools and power tools.
- Knowledge of machining processes including the use of calipers and other measurement tools.
- Familiarity with manufacturing standards related to ductwork, construction components, or structural steel.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication tasks.
- Ability to interpret schematics and technical instructions for assembly processes. Pay: $20.26-$39.39 per hour
