Position overview
The Sales Agent will be responsible for monitoring incoming leads, converting leads into sales, scheduling cleaning services, answering customer inquiries, maintaining CRM records, and supporting the day-to-day coordination of cleaning operations.
The successful candidate must possess strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills, and be comfortable using CRM systems such as ZenMaid, Ring Central, Google Ads, Google Sheets, MS Office, or other scheduling tools. Experience within a franchise business, call center, or cleaning industry is considered a strong asset.
Duties & responsibilities
Sales & Lead Management
- Monitor incoming leads from phone calls, website inquiries, social media, email, and advertising campaigns
- Follow up with prospective customers and convert leads into booked cleaning services
- Prepare quotes and explain service packages to residential and commercial customers
- Develop and submit professional cleaning service proposals for commercial clients
- Conduct marketing and outreach activities by visiting potential customers to promote cleaning services
- Perform onsite assessments and engage with customers to identify their cleaning needs and recommend suitable solutions
- Promote recurring cleaning services and upsell additional services where appropriate
- Maintain high conversion and customer satisfaction rates
CRM Duties
- Maintain accurate customer records and logs within the company CRM system
- Track leads, conversions, cancellations, recurring customers, and service history
- Generate reports on sales performance and lead activity
- Assist management with operational and administrative tasks as required
Marketing Support
- Assist with sales and marketing campaigns
- Help identify opportunities for customer retention and business growth
- Support online reputation management by encouraging customer reviews and feedback
Scheduling Support
- Schedule and coordinate cleaning appointments using the company CRM systems, including ZenMaid
- Assist operations in assigning jobs and routes to cleaning staff efficiently
- Assist operations in communicating schedule changes and updates to cleaners and customers
- Ensure cleaners receive accurate job details and customer instructions
- Support daily operational coordination of the cleaning division
Customer Service
- Answer inbound calls, emails, and customer inquiries professionally and promptly
- Address customer concerns and resolve service-related issues
- Maintain strong customer relationships and provide excellent client experience
- Conduct post-service follow-ups and customer satisfaction checks
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience in:
- Cleaning industry
- Franchise business
- Call center environment
- Customer service and sales
- Strong phone communication and interpersonal skills
- Sales-oriented mindset with ability to close leads
- Experience using CRM systems, preferably cleaning CRM such as ZenMaid
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Professional, friendly, and reliable
- Strong computer skills (email, Word, Excel, Scheduling software)
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Willingness and ability to travel between multiple properties during a workday.
- Proven experience in cleaning, custodial work, or janitorial services.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to a changing schedule.
- Punctual, professional and respectful at the client’s site.
- Must have a valid Canadian work permit, PR or citizenship.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in sales, call center operations, marketing, customer service, and dispatching
- Experience in cleaning or the service industry is preferred
- Franchise business experience is considered an asset
- Eligible to work in Canada
