A warm, busy family in inner-city SW Calgary is seeking a reliable, proactive, and experienced nanny to support their family three afternoons per week.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys taking initiative, thrives in a busy household, and is looking for a consistent position for the 2026–2027 school year, with the possibility of continuing beyond.
Schedule:
- 9 or 12 hours per week
- 3 afternoons per week (scheduled Monday–Thursday - you choose!)
- 3 or 4-hour shifts
- Preferred hours for the 4 hour option are 2:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m., although 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. may also be considered. For the 3 hour option, 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm are the hours required.
- End-of-summer/early September start.
- A commitment through the full 2026–2027 school year is required, with the potential for the position to continue longer-term for the right candidate.
Compensation:
- $24–26/hour, depending on experience.
- Mileage is reimbursed at the current CRA mileage rate for all work-related driving.
About the Family:
The family has four school-aged children with active after-school schedules. They're looking for a nanny who can confidently step into the afternoon routine, help keep everyone organized, and make the evenings feel calm and manageable.
Responsibilities:
- Transportation to extracurricular activities
- Supervising and engaging with the children after school
- Preparing and serving dinner for the family
- Keeping the kitchen tidy after meal preparation
- Light household and organizational tasks that help keep the home running smoothly during your shift
- Supporting the family's afternoon and evening routine with a calm, organized approach
The successful candidate will be:

Requirements:
- Previous nanny or professional childcare experience
- Valid driver's licence and a reliable personal vehicle
- Willingness to contact your auto insurance provider to confirm you have the appropriate coverage for using your vehicle for work (or obtain additional coverage if required)
- Current First Aid & CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
Opportunity for Additional Hours: This position is for 9-12 hours per week; however, as a nanny with our agency, you may have the opportunity to pick up additional hours through babysitting, temporary placements, or other part-time nanny positions that complement your schedule. While additional hours cannot be guaranteed, we are always happy to connect our nannies with opportunities that align with their availability.
