The Fixed Wireless Infrastructure Technician is responsible for install, inspection, maintenance, and repair of wireless communication equipment on telecommunications towers and related structures. The ideal candidate is comfortable working at heights, follows strict safety procedures, and can work effectively in varying weather conditions and remote locations. This role ensures a high-quality customer experience through reliable service delivery and efficient network performance.
What You'll Do:

Install, repair, and maintain fixed wireless services for complex commercial services and dedicated links.

Prepare, construct, inspect, and maintain tower structures

Install and maintain networking equipment on tower infrastructure

Complete site documentation, inspection reports, and daily work logs

Perform quality assurance checks and provide feedback to support continuous improvement

Troubleshoot and resolve complex and escalated technical issues

Perform general shop and field work, including maintenance tasks as required

Ensure reliable network performance and deliver a high standard of customer service
What You Bring:

Ability to safely work at heights up to 300 ft
-
Previous tower climbing or telecommunications experience preferred

Strong understanding of fall protection and tower safety procedures

Experience operating equipment (forklift, skid steer, or similar)

Basic construction or building experience

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

High attention to detail and accuracy

Excellent time management, organization, and punctuality

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Strong communication skills and professionalism

Valid Class 5F driver’s license required (Class 3 and tower climbing/fall arrest training considered assets)
Working Conditions:
-
Ability to work in all weather conditions (rain, snow, extreme temps) and heights.

Ability to respond at all hours during critical outages and work OT as needed.

Ability to work and drive-in all-weather conditions

Ability to work away from home (travel may be required within Manitoba)

Ability to physically lift up to 75 lbs as required

Ability to climb heights of up to 300ft
