Job Summary
Select Landscaping & Construction is hiring a skilled, detail-oriented Gardener to maintain high-end residential properties. You should be confident with planting, pruning, plant ID, and spotting pests, disease, or stress. This role offers growth into lead hand, crew leadership, and project support.
Duties
- Weed, edge, mulch, deadhead, and keep garden beds clean and structured
- Prune shrubs, perennials, and small trees to promote healthy growth
- Identify plant issues (pests, disease, deficiencies) and report to management
- Complete seasonal planting (annuals, perennials, bulbs, shrubs, small trees)
- Mow and trim when required, with clean lines and tidy finish
- Use hand tools and light equipment safely
- Keep job sites, tools, and vehicles clean and organized
- Communicate clearly with supervisors and crew to meet site standards
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in garden/landscape maintenance or horticulture
- Strong plant identification and pruning knowledge
- Able to recognize common pests, disease, and plant stress signs
- Comfortable with hand tools and small equipment (pruners, trimmers, blowers)
- High attention to detail and pride in clean, weed-free gardens
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Horticulture training/certification is an asset
