Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and consistency
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for accurate cash handling and transactions
- Take customer orders efficiently while providing excellent customer service
- Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including coffee machines, counters, and dining spaces
- Ensure adherence to food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Manage cash register operations, including basic math calculations for transactions and giving correct change
- Assist in restocking supplies and maintaining inventory levels throughout shifts
- Provide friendly assistance to customers with inquiries about menu items or dietary needs
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Barista or in the food industry is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude
- Knowledge of POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is advantageous
- Ability to perform food preparation and handle food safety procedures effectively
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Experience with serving, cashiering, and food handling is desirable
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
