Position Overview
Are you passionate about creating exceptional guest experiences and leading high-performing teams?
As Banquet Manager, you'll play a key role in bringing events to life at Manitoba's premier event venue. From corporate meetings and trade shows to galas and special events, you'll lead food and beverage operations, build strong client relationships, oversee service teams, and ensure every event is executed with excellence.
What You'll Do
- Lead and coordinate banquet and concession operations to deliver outstanding event experiences.
- Partner with clients and internal teams to ensure events are executed smoothly from planning through completion.
- Lead, coach, schedule, and develop banquet and service team members while fostering a positive, guest-focused culture.
- Support operational planning, staffing, reporting, inventory, and concession operations to ensure service excellence and efficiency.
- Solve challenges in real time while promoting safe work practices and exceptional guest service.
What You'll Bring
- 3 to 5 years of experience in hospitality, with a focus on banquet service, food and beverage operations, or large-scale event environments.
- Experience leading, coaching, scheduling, and developing teams.
- Strong knowledge of event operations, food and beverage services, and guest service excellence.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, event-driven environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; experience with event management software is considered an asset.
- Smart Choices Certification, or the ability to obtain certification.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and varying schedules based on event requirements.
- Eligibility to work in Canada.
