Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian/Cleaner to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in cleaning and facilities maintenance, with a strong commitment to quality and efficiency. Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal across various areas of the facility
- Conduct deep cleaning of restrooms, kitchens, and high-touch surfaces to ensure hygiene standards are met
- Maintain cleanliness of floors, windows, walls, and fixtures using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel
- Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored and maintained
- Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment as required during cleaning activities
- Adhere to established cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure consistent facility upkeep
- Support special cleaning projects or events as needed
Experience
- Prior experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices is a plus
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, or floor scrubbers is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that may involve lifting, bending, or standing for extended periods
