Purpose of the role
Reporting to the Director, Distribution Centre, the incumbent is responsible for the efficient implementation of systems and procedures related to the management of the Company's distribution operations and overall logistics. They contribute to the development of a continuous improvement program to ensure optimal performance across the supply chain, from procurement through distribution.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and assess supply chain operations, from suppliers through distribution and logistics across the distribution network, in order to provide recommendations that support management decision-making.
- Analyze and anticipate the impact of operational changes on human resources, training, and information technology to enable effective planning and the appropriate management of human and material resources.
- Participate in the evaluation, redesign, development, testing, and implementation of operational and administrative systems and processes to improve operational efficiency while considering the impact across all areas of the supply chain.
- Optimize the Company's management systems (WMS: Solochain, ERP: Cegid).
- Conduct time and motion studies within distribution operations to increase productivity and operational efficiency by analyzing and leveraging data from the Company's management systems.
- Contribute to the development of a logistics dashboard that includes operational metrics (productivity by activity) and inventory management indicators (service level, inventory turnover, etc.). Monitor key performance indicators and recommend improvement opportunities to the appropriate stakeholders.
- Act as a resource person by providing support to managers responsible for transportation, procurement, inventory management, operations, and other supply chain functions. As required, serve as the functional liaison with other business units that impact supply chain activities.
- Develop and prepare technical specifications to establish effective business relationships with the Company's external partners (IT integrators, transportation providers, and specialized equipment suppliers) in support of the ongoing evolution of distribution processes and technologies.
- Contribute to and support the implementation of Business Intelligence initiatives and solutions related to the Company's Data Lake.
- Represent the Distribution Centre and Logistics function on cross-functional committees and actively contribute to their effectiveness.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or an equivalent field.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in supply chain process optimization and/or operations management.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, and Visio; experience with Microsoft Access or other database management software is an asset.
