Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Lawn Care Supervisor to lead our landscaping team. The ideal candidate will oversee daily operations, ensure quality standards, and coordinate maintenance activities across various outdoor projects. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise in landscape maintenance, and the ability to manage a team effectively to deliver exceptional outdoor environments for our clients.
Responsibilities
- Direct planting of trees, gardens and lawns
- Hire, supervise and schedule staff
- Resolve work problems by providing technical advice to increase the value and functionality of a property
- Plan and direct grounds maintenance
- Plan and estimate labour and materials
- Plan, manage and supervise landscape construction work
- Maintain work records and logs
- Read blueprints and drawings
- Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies
- Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
Skills
- Proven experience in supervising landscaping or lawn care teams with strong leadership qualities
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, gardening techniques, horticulture principles, and landscape maintenance methods
- Ability to operate construction equipment related to outdoor projects safely and efficiently
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong communication skills for team coordination and client interaction
- Ability to troubleshoot issues related to landscape systems and recommend appropriate solutions
- Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions for extended periods
Pay: Up to $37.00 per hour
