Overview
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Grocery Associate to join our retail team in our Asian Grocery Store. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, maintaining store merchandising, and ensuring a smooth shopping experience for all customers. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, organizational abilities, and a passion for retail sales. Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus, as they enhance our ability to serve diverse customers. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their shopping needs
- Operate POS systems for cashiering and cash handling transactions accurately
- Restock shelves and organize products to ensure attractive merchandising displays
- Conduct product demos and upsell items to maximize sales opportunities
- Provide knowledgeable assistance on product locations and features
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store environment
- Handle customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy
- Manage time effectively to ensure all tasks are completed within scheduled shifts
- Support inventory management through stock rotation and monitoring product levels
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and customer service experience
- Basic math skills for cash handling and POS transactions
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently
- Previous retail sales or merchandising experience is preferred but not required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse customers
