Main Purpose of the Job:
Provides a high level of customer service answering phones and assisting hotel guests throughout their stay. Ensures all guests are greeted and welcomed. Processes invoices and payments. Assists in tending to customer needs and complaints. This role also supports hotel operations by assisting with laundry duties and coordinating with the housekeeping team to ensure rooms and common areas are properly maintained and guest ready.

The General Manager and Management Personnel.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensuring high levels of customer service at all times.
- Welcoming guest(s) by greeting them, allocating and issuing rooms.
- Answering calls and directing queries to the appropriate department.
- Assisting and answering any queries from guests.
- Booking reservations and identifying any specific requirements.
- Maintain safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Produce accurate billing for guests; ensuring payments are processed as per procedures.
- Communicate any feedback received from guests both positive and negative.
- Contributes to the team effort.
- Liaise with all hotel personnel and guests.
- Coordinating with housekeeping and maintenance departments.
- Performs laundry-related tasks such as operating washers and dryers, folding linens, and ensuring an adequate supply of clean towels and bedding for guest use.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in hospitality is an asset.
- Previous customer service or hotel front desk experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a professional and friendly demeanor.
- Ability to resolve guest concerns in a calm, professional manner
- Basic math and computer skills; experience with hotel reservation systems is an asset.
- Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain professionalism under pressure.
- Physical ability to perform light housekeeping and laundry tasks, including standing for long periods and lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and potentially overnights.
Working Conditions:
- This position requires working at a desk and is 100% public facing.

- Must work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
- Will be required to assist with laundry and coordinate with housekeeping
- Involves standing and walking for extended periods.
- May require occasional lifting, carrying, or moving of items up to 25 lbs.
- Exposure to laundry equipment, cleaning supplies, and guest-related situations.
- Must wear a uniform or maintain professional appearance as per hotel policy.

Pay: $17.60-$22.00 per hour
