Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Line Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role requires a strong understanding of food preparation, safety standards, and excellent kitchen skills to ensure high-quality meals are delivered to our guests. The Line Cook will play a vital part in maintaining the efficiency and reputation of our restaurant by delivering exceptional food service.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients
- Ensure all food handling practices comply with safety and sanitation guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen station throughout shifts
- Monitor food quality and presentation before serving
- Collaborate with team members to meet service times and customer expectations
- Follow all food safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure freshness
- Assist with inventory management by rotating stock and notifying management of shortages
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or as a line cook in a restaurant setting
- Strong knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and sanitation procedures
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent serving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and kitchen equipment operation
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Familiarity with the food industry standards and restaurant operations
