About the Role
Canam Waste Products is looking for a driven and entrepreneurial Outside Sales Representative to join our growing team. As our sole sales professional, you will play a critical role in expanding our client base while nurturing and maintaining existing business relationships. This is a high-impact, high-visibility position suited for a self-starter who thrives in a field-based environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Proactively identify and acquire new business through cold calling, direct outreach, and lead follow-up
· Manage and grow relationships with existing clients to ensure retention and satisfaction
· Receive and action all inbound leads generated through the office — as our only salesperson, every opportunity flows through you
· Represent Canam Waste Products at industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events
· Plan and execute a field schedule that supports up to 75% travel within your week (primarily day trips; minimal to no overnight travel required)
· Maintain and update the company CRM with accurate client and prospect information
· Complete all required sales administration, reporting, and pipeline management on a timely basis
· Develop and deliver compelling proposals and presentations tailored to prospect needs
· Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and service delivery for new clients
· Stay current on industry trends, competitor activity, and market opportunities
Qualifications & Skills
· Proven track record in an outside or field sales role, preferably within waste management, industrial services, or a related industry
· Strong prospecting and cold calling skills with the confidence to open new doors
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills — you're comfortable in a boardroom or on a job site
· Highly organized with the ability to manage your own schedule and pipeline independently
· Proficient with CRM software and standard office productivity tools
· Valid driver's licence and a reliable vehicle (mileage/travel expenses covered per company policy)
· Comfortable with a schedule that involves significant field time (up to 75% travel, primarily local/regional day trips)
· Experience attending trade shows and industry networking events is an asset

Pay: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
