We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Line Cook/Prep Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation and ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist with meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients.
- Ensure all food handling and safety regulations are followed to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Maintain inventory of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas regularly.
- Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety practices.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of food handling, food safety, and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new techniques in meal preparation.
