Position Summary
MEDLOG Canada is seeking a reliable and versatile Class 1 Driver – Yard Shunter (Operations Support) to support daily operations at our container yard in Saint-Laurent.
This role combines hands-on yard operations with operational and administrative support, requiring a proactive individual who can operate equipment safely while contributing to overall yard efficiency.
This role requires a valid Class 1 license, as movements may extend beyond the immediate yard into the broader CN Taschereau terminal and, on occasion, on public roads.
The position reports directly to the Fleet Director and plays a key role in ensuring efficient yard flow and operational support.
Key Accountabilities
Yard Operations

Perform shunting of trailers and trucks within the yard safely and efficiently

Move equipment to support loading, unloading, and yard flow

Operate equipment within the broader CN Taschereau yard and perform occasional movements outside the yard

Ensure proper placement and organization of containers, trailers, and chassis

Conduct basic equipment checks and report any mechanical or safety issues
Operational Support

Assist with overall yard organization and cleanliness
