Westland Insurance Group is growing and has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Insurance Advisor at our Peterborough, ON location. This is an onsite role. You’ve built your career in insurance and earned a reputation as a trusted advisor. The expected hourly hiring range for this role is 24.30 to 30.76 with a 37.5-hour work week. Your rate of pay will be determined based on your individual qualifications and experience, while considering internal equity.

As a Senior Insurance Advisor, you promote and educate clients on a wide range of insurance products, take ownership of client relationships, and help us grow our presence and profile in the local community. You'll also serve as a senior resource within the branch, managing more complex insurance cases while supporting the development of team members

Why we’ll love You:
- Minimum 2+ years of insurance industry experience, supported by a Level 2 License and progress toward your CAIB and/or CIP designation (financial support provided!)
- Strong technical knowledge and confidence handling more complex client needs, with the ability to provide tailored coverage recommendations
- A proven ability to build lasting client relationships, deliver exceptional service, and identify opportunities to grow and retain business
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail, allowing you to effectively manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy
- A collaborative mindset with a passion for sharing knowledge, mentoring others, and contributing to team success
- Professional, solutions-focused, and an effective communicator who demonstrates sound judgment and integrity in every client interaction
Once here, you'll:
- Deliver exceptional client service while representing Westland Insurance professionally across phone, email, and in-person interactions
- Assess client needs and provide knowledgeable recommendations across personal lines to ensure the right coverage and protection
- Manage new business, renewals, underwriting, and policy changes while handling more complex insurance cases with accuracy and attention to detail
- Build lasting client relationships by providing proactive support throughout the customer journey, including renewals, claims assistance, and follow-up communication
- Contribute to business growth by identifying sales opportunities in addition to cross-selling and up-selling products
- Support branch success by collaborating with team members, mentoring peers, and assisting with training, reporting, and day-to-day operations as needed
