Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Picker Swamper/Rigger to join our team. This role involves assisting with the rigging and movement of heavy equipment, supporting crane operations, and ensuring safe and efficient handling of materials on-site. The ideal candidate will have oilfield experience, mechanical knowledge, and excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and clients.
Duties
- Assist with rigging operations, including setting up lifting gear and securing loads for crane movement
- Operate or support the operation of boom trucks and cranes as needed
- Guide and coordinate the movement of heavy materials or equipment safely around the job site
- Perform mechanical inspections of rigging gear, cranes, and lifting equipment to ensure safety compliance
- Communicate clearly with crane operators, team members, and clients to facilitate smooth operations
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety standards at all times
- Support customer service efforts by providing professional assistance on-site when required
Qualifications
- Oilfield experience with familiarity in rigging, crane operation, or heavy equipment handling preferred
- Valid certification or experience in boom truck operation, or crane work is highly desirable
- Mechanical knowledge to understand equipment functions and perform basic troubleshooting
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work safely in a high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to rigging, lifting operations, and construction/oilfield sites
- Customer service orientation with professional demeanor when interacting with clients or visitors
Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
