Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Yard Worker to join our team. This role involves supporting warehouse operations, moving tires around and ensuring the efficient movement of materials and goods within the yard. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse distribution, with a strong focus on safety and productivity. Duties
- Assist with shipping & receiving processes, including verifying shipments and organizing inventory
- Support warehouse distribution activities by moving supplies and materials throughout the yard
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and operational efficiency
- Use warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update records accurately
- Perform basic maintenance checks on equipment and report any issues promptly
- Follow safety protocols during all operations, including heavy lifting and construction-related tasks
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or related fields
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to operating cranes, forklifts, clamp trucks, and other heavy equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Experience with order picking and using warehouse management systems
- Construction experience is a plus for understanding site safety and procedures
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety protocols and heavy equipment operation
- Ability to operate order pickers, cranes, forklifts, and clamp trucks with proper certification if required
- Familiarity with load & unload procedures for various types of cargo
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform manual labor in all weather conditions
Pay: $16.70-$20.00 per hour
