Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our cleaning and maintenance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a background in hospitality or custodial services. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of housekeeping staff to ensure efficient operations
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to verify cleanliness and safety standards
- Train new team members on cleaning protocols, safety procedures, and customer service expectations
- Schedule staff shifts and manage staffing levels to meet occupancy demands
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring proper usage and storage
- Address guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally
- Enforce health and safety regulations related to cleaning practices, including industrial cleaning standards when applicable
- Collaborate with management to develop improvement plans for service quality and operational efficiency
Experience
- Proven experience in custodial services, hotel housekeeping, or industrial cleaning environments
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience in hospitality or custodial roles is preferred
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and hospitality standards
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Familiarity with hospitality industry best practices related to cleanliness and guest satisfaction
- Ability to train staff effectively and foster a positive team environment
