As a Mental Health Clinician with the Addiction and Mental Health Supported Living team, you will offer a broad range of generalist services that will positively impact individuals living with addiction and mental health concerns. This position will primarily work with our Rapid Housing Initiative team but may occasionally support the larger portfolio on a consultation basis. The RHI team supports 7 sites within the Edmonton area. These sites are operated by community agencies and offer long-term supported housing, primarily to those from within the houseless sector. The position will be responsible for intake and screening, assessment, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and system navigation. The MHC will work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to provide both consultation and case management services to the residents. As a Mental Health Clinician, you will be required to provide psychosocial interventions using a wide range of treatment modalities with your scope of practice and regulatory body. An important part of this role is collaboration with multiple community partners and service providers. Relationship building with site operators is a key piece to success in the role. As a Mental Health Clinician, you will work as a member of the multidisciplinary health care team collaborating on the delivery of care for the needs of individuals, families and/or communities. You will be responsible for the intake, clinical interviews, and screening of clients with addiction and mental health disorders. You will liaise with a variety of internal and external stakeholders and work collaboratively with other team members as required. You may have the opportunity to participate in program planning, development and to provide supervision to practicum students. This position is open to Registered Nurses, Registered Psychiatric Nurses, Registered Social Workers, Registered Psychologists, and Registered Occupational Therapists.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of a master's degree in psychology; a bachelor's degree in social work incorporating education in mental health assessment, brief counseling, and crisis intervention; a master's or bachelor's degree in occupational therapy with similar educational components; a bachelor's degree in nursing with training and experience in mental health assessment, crisis intervention, and brief counseling; or a bachelor's degree in psychiatric nursing. Active or eligible for registration with the applicable Alberta regulatory college.
Additional Required Qualifications:
A minimum of 3 years of relevant mental health and addiction experience, with preference given to community settings. Strong skills with crisis intervention, assessment and relationship building. Experience in providing psychosocial interventions. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS-HCP) is required. A personal vehicle in good working order, with appropriate business insurance, and a willingness to transport clients to appointments (as needed) is required. Extensive knowledge of community resources.
