Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Servers and Bartenders to join our dynamic hospitality team at Sopra Sotto Commercial Drive. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, taking food and beverage orders, and ensuring guests have a memorable dining experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Prior restaurant experience and familiarity with POS systems are highly valued.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive service throughout their visit
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using Micros POS or similar systems
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
- Ensure food safety and proper food handling procedures are followed at all times
- Maintain cleanliness of the service area, including bar and dining spaces
- Manage multiple tables or bar stations efficiently using strong time management skills
- Assist in setting up and breaking down service stations before and after shifts
- Engage with guests to create a welcoming atmosphere, addressing any special requests or concerns
Requirements
- Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred, especially in serving or bartending roles
- Familiarity with POS systems such as TOAST POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change accurately
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy service periods effectively
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members
