We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Long-Haul Truck Driver to transport freight across Canada and the United States. The successful candidate will operate a tractor-trailer safely and efficiently while ensuring on-time deliveries and compliance with all transportation regulations and company policies.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate tractor-trailer equipment on long-haul routes.
- Transport goods safely and efficiently according to delivery schedules.
- Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
- Ensure cargo is properly secured and transported safely.
- Complete and maintain driver logs, inspection reports, and shipping documentation.
- Comply with all applicable transportation, safety, and company regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and border officials when required.
- Monitor vehicle condition and report maintenance or repair requirements.
- Ensure timely pickups and deliveries while providing professional customer service.
Qualifications
- Valid Class 1/A Commercial Driver's Licence or equivalent.
- Clean driver's abstract and valid medical certificate.
- Ability to travel for extended periods.
- Strong knowledge of safe driving practices and transportation regulations.
- Good communication and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
