Landstorm Contracting is a civil excavation and site-servicing company based in Carp, ON, working across Ottawa, the Ottawa Valley, and Eastern Ontario. We're hiring reliable Labourers and Skilled Labourers to join our crews on sewer and water, septic systems, grading, granulars, demolition, and small commercial sitework. This is hands-on outdoor work on active excavation sites a great spot to build a career in civil construction.
Responsibilities
- Perform general and skilled labour on active excavation and site-servicing projects
- Assist with pipe laying (sewer/watermain), septic installs, and utility work
- Grade prep, backfilling, and compaction
- Demolition, site preparation, and material handling
- Support equipment operators and assist with iron (manhole/valve) adjustments
- Load, move, and stage materials and tools
- Follow all health and safety protocols and keep the site clean and organized
Skills & Requirements
- Reliable, hard-working, and ready to put in a full day
- Civil, excavation, or general construction experience an asset; skilled labourers with pipe, grade, or equipment experience strongly preferred
- Comfortably operating hand and power tools safely
- Valid driver's licence (G preferred); DZ licence an asset
- Working at Heights and WHMIS certification an asset, or willingness to obtain
- Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Safety-conscious team player with good attention to detail
Wage depends on experience and tickets. Apprentices and experienced hands are both welcome to apply.
Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
