We are seeking an Installations Lead-Hand, with strong leadership skills to oversee the daily operations of our various agricultural installation sites. This role combines technical expertise in agricultural farm installations with workflow management, to ensure quality craftsmanship, project management, and customer service are performed efficiently and on budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the installation of a range of agricultural equipment, including automated feeding assemblies, ventilation systems, and general plumbing.
- Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on equipment
- Safe use of hand and power tools (e.g., propane torches, drills, angle grinders, etc.)
- Troubleshoot structural, mechanical, and electrical issues, ensuring quality standards and timely completion.
- Adhere to strict safety procedures while working at heights and on occupied buildings
- Ensure installations meets safety and compliance standards.
- Provide excellent customer service during on-site visits.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used
- Communicate effectively with the Operations Manager regarding site conditions, materials needed, and repair progress
- Receive work orders, manage workflow, and coordinate with clients for custom specifications.
- Update and keep as-built drawings, precision journals, and technical reports
- Analyze project drawings, as-built drawings, technical specifications and assembly instructions
- Travel to client sites as needed (within a specified service area)
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in farm equipment installation or similar mechanical work is preferred.
- Strong leadership experience and can manage a team effectively
- Technical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and thrive in a collaborative environment
- Basic knowledge of electrical/mechanical systems.
- Valid driver's license - with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various weather conditions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
