OVERVIEW
On behalf of our client, an established mining company in Northern Ontario, is seeking an experienced General Foreman to join their team.

Reporting to Mine Manager, the General Foreman is responsible for delivering sustainable and reliable mine operations and continuous improvement. This includes directly leading supervisors, managing resources, and promoting a safety-first culture.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Lead, coach, and develop a multidisciplinary maintenance team, including supervisors, tradespeople, planners, and contractors.
· Oversee maintenance programs for underground mobile equipment, surface equipment, and site infrastructure.
· Drive preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
· Coordinate maintenance planning and scheduling to support operational requirements.
· Champion a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and mining regulations.
· Manage maintenance budgets, contractor performance, inventory, and critical spare parts.
· Monitor equipment performance and maintenance KPIs to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
· Partner with operations, technical services, engineering, and supply chain teams to support production goals.
· Lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance equipment performance, maintenance efficiency, and overall operational reliability.
REQUIREMENTS
- 15+ years of mining maintenance experience with strong knowledge of underground mobile equipment
- 8+ years in a leadership role
- Relevant post-secondary education required with a trade certification considered an asset
- Excellent leadership, communication and organization skills
- Sound knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance programs for mobile equipment and surface infrastructure
- Familiarity with mining regulations, occupational health and safety practices and emergency response procedures

Salary minimum: $130,000
