Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Transporter to join our team. As a Transporter, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting boats between locations. This is a vital role in our organization, ensuring that boats are delivered on time and in good condition.
Duties:
- Load and unload boats onto trailers, transport boats from downtown yard to downtown boat launch
- Secure cargo for transport to prevent damage or loss
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while operating vehicles
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and report any problems to the appropriate personnel
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including times, dates, and locations
- Communicate with Supervisors, customers, and other team members to coordinate delivery schedules
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations during transport
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Transporter or in a similar role is preferred
- Familiarity with boats is a plus
- Mechanical knowledge to identify and address minor vehicle issues is beneficial
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
