Qualifications:
- Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Practical Nurse.
- Current BCLS certification.
- Recent, within the last two (2) years related nursing experience in acute medicine and/or geriatrics
- Demonstrated ability to utilize problem solving and critical thinking techniques
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, high turnover environment
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills
- Demonstrates critical thinking and decision making in assessment, problem identification, problem solving and management of adult and geriatric medicine patients, including rehabilitative approaches to patient care
- Evidence of commitment to professional practice and ongoing professional development, demonstrated leadership ability and organizational skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in working with patients, families, peers and multidisciplinary healthcare teams in an effective, professional, caring manner
- Willingness to participate in Quality Improvement and innovation
- Demonstrate excellent attendance, punctuality and performance.
