We are actively seeking an experienced and safety- oriented Heavy Equipment technician to support our growing Equipment maintenance division.
Our ideal candidate
- Journeyperson Heavy equipment Technician with experience maintaining fleet and heavy construction equipment. Must have own tools as well.
- You have 4-5 years of shop experience maintaining and working on a wide variety of fleet and support vehicles as well as wide variety of Heavy construction equipment, with brands like Caterpillar, John Deere, Terex, Case, Komatsu, Hydrema and Wacker. Field experience is considered an asset.
- Must be able to work independently and have the ability to communicate with the Equipment manager
- Must show pride of workmanship as well as take ownership and accountability of tasks
- You are legally allowed to work in Canada
- You posses a valid class five drivers license with clean drivers abstract
- You have your own vehicle
As a key member of our mechanical team, you will ensure our fleet stays operational and safe along with the following tasks:
- Diagnostics & Repair: Troubleshoot and service construction, landscape, and snow equipment using modern diagnostic tools.
- Systems Expert: Adjust and repair automotive systems, hydraulic components, and diesel engines.
- Preventative Maintenance: Lead the charge on routine inspections to reduce downtime and improve fleet longevity.
- Inventory & Strategy: Assist with parts ordering and inventory management; identify ways to streamline shop costs and efficiency.
- Environment: Maintain a clean, organized, and professional shop environment that reflects our commitment to quality.
Weekly schedule
- Monday to friday 40 hrs with overtime as needed
- Ability to work after hours on call during winter months
- Long weekends and most weekends off
