We’re currently seeking a highly experienced handyman with a strong, well-rounded maintenance background to support our field operations.
About the Role
This is a hands-on field position for a all-around handyman. You’ll be working across multiple job sites throughout the day, handling a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks.
The ideal candidate is someone who understands all core handyman fundamentals — someone who can look at almost any issue, identify what’s wrong, and either complete the repair properly or recommend the correct solution when it falls outside their scope.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general building maintenance and repairs across multiple locations
- Diagnose and repair door-related issues, including:
- Automatic door operators
- Closers, hinges, panic hardware, strikes, and alignment
- Perform lock and hardware work (locksmithing experience is a strong asset)
- Drywall patching and painting
- General maintenance of building common areas (non-unit work)
- Basic troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, and building systems
- Identify problems on-site and recommend appropriate solutions
- Communicate job details, issues, and material needs clearly
- Maintain professional workmanship and job-site cleanliness
Qualifications
- 10+ years of hands-on handyman or building maintenance experience
- Strong understanding of general handyman fundamentals
- Solid experience with door repairs and hardware
- Locksmithing experience is an asset
- Electrical, mechanical, or other trade experience is an asset
- Able to work independently and make sound judgment calls
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle (mileage reimbursed)
- Reliable, professional, and detail-oriented
