Position Overview
As a Forklift Operator, you will play a key role in the efficient movement, storage, and organization of products within a busy warehouse facility. The ideal candidate will be safety-focused, detail-oriented, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate Counterbalance forklifts in a warehouse environment
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately
- Move, locate, stack, and organize products within designated storage areas
- Ensure proper handling and storage of bakery products
- Perform routine forklift inspections and basic equipment maintenance
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and company policies
- Assist with inventory control, cycle counts, and product verification
- Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and customer demands
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area
- Support general warehouse operations as required
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid Counterbalance certification
- Minimum 1 year of forklift operating experience
- Proven experience working in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Physical ability to lift, move, and handle materials as required
- Flexible availability, including evenings, nights, and weekends when needed
- Basic math skills for inventory counting and verification
