Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Truck Driver to join our team in Alberta. This role is essential for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of freight across various routes within the region. Duties
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport freight to designated locations within Alberta and beyond.
- Load and unload freight , ensuring proper handling and security of cargo.
- Conduct routine inspections of vehicles and equipment, performing basic automotive repairs or reporting issues for maintenance.
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, routes, and vehicle logs in compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, traffic laws, and company policies during transportation activities.
- Assist with the operation of heavy equipment when required, including forklifts and other machinery used in loading/unloading processes.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Experience operating freight trucks and heavy equipment such as forklifts.
- Knowledge of automotive repair basics is a plus, enabling minor troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently in various environments.
- Prior experience with freight handling, logistics, or related fields is preferred.
- Strong attention to safety procedures, detail-oriented, and reliable work ethic.
- Physical ability to load/unload cargo manually or with equipment; capable of lifting heavy loads when necessary.
- Must be able to work independently while maintaining communication with team members. This role is vital for maintaining the smooth flow of goods within Alberta’s transportation network, requiring professionalism, safety awareness, and technical skills from all applicants.
