Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Traffic Control Person (TCP, LCT) to ensure safety and efficient traffic management at construction sites. This role involves directing vehicle and pedestrian traffic, maintaining safety protocols, and supporting construction operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in heavy equipment operation, paving, or construction, with a strong focus on safety and communication. Duties
- Direct and control traffic flow around construction zones using proper signaling and signage
- Set up and maintain traffic control devices such as cones, barriers, and signs to ensure safe passage for workers and the public
- Assist in the safe movement of heavy equipment and construction materials within the site
- Monitor work zones for potential safety hazards and report issues promptly
- Collaborate with construction teams to coordinate vehicle movements and site access
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies during daily operations
- Maintain clear communication with team members and site supervisors regarding traffic conditions and safety concerns
Qualifications
- Prior experience in traffic control, paving, or general construction is preferred
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation is a plus
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Valid certifications such as TCP or LCT are advantageous but not mandatory; training may be provided
- Ability to follow safety procedures rigorously and work effectively as part of a team
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, set up traffic control devices, and perform related tasks safely
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.85-$32.45 per hour
