Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all guests. This role involves preparing and serving beverages, handling transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Previous experience in the food industry or as a barista is preferred but not required, as training will be provided. The position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food handling, cash handling, and customer service within a dynamic environment.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, tea, and specialty beverages following established recipes and standards
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders and providing excellent service
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including cleaning equipment and counters
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
- Follow food safety guidelines and procedures at all times
- Manage time effectively to serve customers promptly during busy periods
Skills
- Experience with POS systems is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Previous barista experience or serving background is a plus
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during shifts
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
