Sous Chef - Westmoreland + Queen Locations
Good Behaviour is looking for a Sous Chef to join our culinary team across our Toronto locations.
This role is for someone who is passionate about food, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys leading by example. We're looking for a strong culinary leader who can help oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, maintain high standards, support team development, and ensure consistent execution across all locations.
What the role looks like:
- Lead team in managing daily kitchen operations
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff during prep and service
- Ensure all menu items are prepared consistently and according to company standards
- Help oversee prep production, recipe execution, portion control, and product quality
- Train, coach, and support kitchen team members in developing their skills
- Assist with inventory management, ordering, receiving, and product organization
- Monitor food quality and ensure all stations are stocked, organized, and service-ready
- Maintain food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards at all times
- Support scheduling, labour management, and overall kitchen efficiency
- Step into any position as needed and support the team during busy service periods
- Foster a positive, professional, and accountable kitchen culture
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef, Lead Line Cook, Kitchen Supervisor, or similar leadership role
- Strong culinary fundamentals and knowledge of kitchen operations
- Experience with prep production, inventory management, and kitchen organization
- Ability to lead a team while maintaining a positive and collaborative work environment
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality and consistency
- Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure
- A hands-on leader who is willing to jump in wherever support is needed
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Food Handler Certification is considered an asset
