About the job:
-
Lead and support maintenance crews to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable maintenance of mobile equipment and assets.
- Provide direction and leadership to tradespeople and subcontractors during assigned shifts.
- Plan, prioritize, and allocate resources including labour, tools, and equipment to support planned and unplanned maintenance activities.
- Ensure maintenance activities are completed safely and in accordance with company procedures and safety standards.
- Monitor equipment performance and support initiatives to maximize equipment availability and minimize downtime.
- Conduct regular inspections, audits, and safety observations to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Lead, coach, and mentor team members while promoting a positive and respectful work environment.
- Review maintenance work to ensure quality, compliance, and effectiveness.
- Support incident investigations and assist with implementing corrective actions when required.
- Identify training and development opportunities for team members.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Start/ End Hours- 7 on/ 7 off rotation, 12- hour rotating shifts (days and nights)
What you need:

Completion of Generic First Line Supervisor Common Core – Program #770141 (Surface Mining).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of mining or heavy industrial construction experience is an asset.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Leading Hand, Supervisor, or Maintenance Planner.
- Strong knowledge of mobile equipment maintenance processes and requirements.
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage daily maintenance activities.
- Strong problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience with JDE or equivalent ERP systems is an asset.
- Journeyman ticket is an asset.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
