Overview
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Associate to join our food manufacturing team. In this role, you will work primarily in a freezer/cold storage environment, supporting daily warehouse operations including order picking, inventory management, loading outgoing shipments and product handling. If you take pride in accuracy, work well in a fast-paced environment, and don't mind the cold, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities
- Pick and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Operate forklifts and other powered equipment safely
- Load outgoing shipments with forklift
- Transfer of goods from Primary site to Freezer storage
- Perform stock rotation and ensure FIFO (First In, First Out) practices are followed
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts
- Keep the warehouse and freezer areas clean, organized, and compliant with food safety standards
- Follow the required company SOP's, GMP's, and Health and Safety Standards
Requirements
- Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain one)
- Valid drivers license
- Ability to work in freezer temperatures (as low as -18°C) for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet productivity targets
- Good physical fitness — ability to lift up to 22kg (50 lbs) repeatedly
- English proficiency (spoken and written)
- Must provide your own work gloves and wear CSA-approved safety boots
- Food safety awareness (an asset)
This role requires a proactive individual capable of working efficiently in a team-oriented environment while adhering to safety standards. Candidates should be prepared for physically demanding tasks involving heavy lifting and equipment operation.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
